OOTD: Casually Spring In Blue and White

The blue and white striped top paired with a light blue floral scarf, white jeans and silver flats makes for a fresh and casual outfit just right for spring.

OOTD: Dressing Up For Work - The Look For MUCH Less

 Considering that I normally dress semi casual for the office, this is a more dressed up look I wore this past Monday.

 My pants were only $3.20 but look remarkably like these below that sell for $695 by St. John.  I'll take my $3 pants, thank you. :)

 The St. John pants are described as having lavishly flared legs and a gossamer georgette overlay adding a skirt-like dimension to statement stretch-silk pants.

 

These pants have a stretch waist and even came with this pretty rhinestone circle which is attached to the fabric draped across the front.

 I don't have many ideas for styling these pants and would probably just repeat this whole outfit.

Do you have any suggestions of ways to wear these pants?

OOTD: Gray, Silver, Tan, Melon

This is just one of those outfits that makes me feel good even though it may not look like anything particularly special.  I adore this necklace, like the color combination in the outfit, and the whole thing was very comfortable.  I did end up changing shoes before I left because I could tell these would not get me through a day of work.  Instead I opted for a soft leather nude loafer.  Ahhhh, much better (but I didn't get a  photograph).  This is an outfit favorite.
Someday......  I hope to have my closet paired down to only my very, very favorites...what I feel happiest in and most comfortable wearing.

I wore earrings (but you can't see them here) in little dangly heart shapes that had the same colors as these two bracelets...melon and seafoam.

A Statement Necklace

I was thrilled to find this chunky statement necklace and I love the silver/gray/peach colors.  I was surprised, when I held it up to various clothes in my closet, just how many pieces it goes with.  It is one of my favorite jewelry pieces.
The other necklace is what I call a "snake necklace" and is a silver metal also.

OOTD: Animal Print Blouse + New Accessories

The silver necklace I purchased from ebay and the black/silver one I picked up while thrifting.  I'm very happy with them both.
Actually, the silver one is meant to be worn on the other side where it's shinier and has rhinestones.  I chose to wear it with the back side facing forward this day.  It's a duller finish and no rhinestones.

There is one thing that bugged me about the black/silver necklace.  It's intentionally not symmetrical.  All day I was adjusting to at least keep these three bottom pieces in this position.  I really don't know why I bothered. haha

China Blue Paisley

A first time wear for both the paisley sleeveless top and the cardigan.  I thought this shade of blue was a pretty color.  The top was under $2!  I bought this cardigan back in January and have fallen totally in love.  I've planned so many outfits with it already.  Now I just have to find time to wear them. ha
I paired the blue with white (and silver) for a fresh look.

Maxi Skirt and Velvety Blazer

I'm pretty sure I thrifted this blazer and skirt, but it was before I began notating my purchases and their prices.  The last time I wore this skirt was here in July 2012...and today was the last.  My heel keeps getting caught in the hem and I have now completely ripped it apart as well as nearly fell down in front of a drug rep that had stopped by the office. haha
This skirt could be shortened, but I don't wear it enough to bother with it, so it will be one of the items I'm letting go of.
