Holiday Red: A New Scarf

I had ordered several new scarves from ebay.  This is one of 4 in this small square size.  I will can also wear these wrapped closer around the neck with the knot twisted to the side. 
I think this one will look good styled with an outfit of all black...giving the basic black a pop of color.

A Vibrant Colored Scarf

I'm letting the scarf make the statement once again in this basic all black outfit of long sleeved tee and jeans.

This simple style is my absolute favorite and when I'm in an outfit like this I feel my best.

New Banana Republic Sloan Fit Pants

I recently thrifted these gray pants and also a black pair of the same style, but in a smaller size.  Both are the Banana Republic Sloan Fit style.  This style is great because the legs have a slim fit on me which I love.  Not too baggy, but not super skinny.

 I've had this top for over 4 years and really like the coral and light gray colors.  It's lightweight, I like the v-neck, and it feels a little on the dressy side without being too much so.  I'm leaning away from lots of prints these days and opting for more solids(except stripes or prints in scarves), but I do like the print and colors in this one so I've kept it.
Paired with the loafers this was a very comfortable look for me and about as dressed up as I like to be.

Dressing Up Denim With Red

I decided to pick up the neutral color in the blouse for my cardigan/vest, purse and shoes.

 A random casual outfit below.

Wearing Red For The Christmas Season

This turned out to be one of my favorite outfits.  It's casual vibe... with jeans, light sweater, and long sleeved tee worn with bright red, low heeled mules and a scarf... suited my style perfectly.

I will be thinking of other ways to to create outfits using similar pieces.  I'm thinking maybe a navy long sleeved tee under this same top with these same gray jeans...or maybe navy jeans or regular denim.  If I use a navy tee I could switch out the scarf for a navy or gray one.

I just calculated...if I use just these pieces (I already own)...
