An Old Navy Pink Striped Button Down Blouse

Casually dressed in hot pink sandals, striped button down blouse layered over a long sleeved white tee...worn with a pair of skinny jeans.
(After photos I shoved up the white sleeves so that it didn't look so weird and sloppy around the wrist area.)

Hot Pink Pants Two Ways

I bought these pants back in July, but they were too small for me at that time. I was hoping I'd lose enough weight to fit into them before our summer was gone.  I just barely made it  :)  .... and wore them a couple of weeks ago when our weather was a bit warmer.   

I wore the same pants again a week later with a gray cardigan.

Feel Good Colors

 Another outfit combining two of my favorite things...a button down blouse with a scarf.  A few posts back I wore a similar outfit.  I changed the top to a checked one and added a pink tee and a different summery scarf to go with the same white pants.

Thrifting Coordinating Pieces In One Shopping Trip

As it so often happens, I was browsing around Value Village, randomly adding things to my cart that I liked, and once I got home realized that many of the items I had purchased actually work really well together and provide pieces to create multiple outfits.  This top, scarf, and bracelet were all purchased in that shopping trip.

And....as I'm apt to do...(wisely, or not) I loaded on all the colorful pieces together.  I did ground them by wearing a dark navy trouser and shoe.

I bought the cutest pair of bright pink bottoms ($4.89 Caslon) that will go really well with this top also.  They are a bit snug and I'm not sure I'll be able to squeeze into them before summer is over, but I'm hoping to.  If not, I'll save them for next year.

Strawberry Ice and Glacier Gray - Pantone Spring 2015 Colors

I'm loving the Pantone Spring 2015 color choices.  In this post I wore a softer shade of the tangerine and also toasted almond.
Here, I'm wearing my new scarf which is similar to the Strawberry Ice Pantone color.  It was a great match to an older sweater I had in the same color. The cardigan is Glacier Gray.  I was very happy with this combination.  Thank you, Pantone, for the inspiration! :)

Dark Denim Jeans For The Office

I love my new dark denim blue jeans!  I actually thrifted another pair on the same shopping trip that are absolutely identical.  Same exact jeans.  I love their fit and length so much I bought them both.  For only $3 a pair...why not?  I believe these may be called cigarette style and I think this may be the style I prefer over all others for myself.  They are a slim fit, but not extremely so at the ankles like a skinny jean.
I purchased another pair of dark denim that day as well.  They are very similar to these, but a slightly lighter, although still dark, denim.  So that makes 3 dark denim jeans plus 3 pair of black pants I got that day also.  Two of the pants are very similar and the third pair is more dressy.   The dressier pair has a flowing, wider leg with a sheer overlay.  They also have a circular rhinestone buckle at the waist.  I'm not quite certain how to style these yet.  If I were thinner I would think a more fitted top would be appropriate, but with my shape I don't think I would feel comfortable with that...so I may have to add a cardigan over the fitted top.

Finally.....all the outfits I had put together to wear with a previously purchased, but never worn (smaller size), dark denim jean...can now be worn.  Even though I'm not excited to be up a size, I am excited to wear the outfits I've had planned, but had put on hold.

 I added a silk jacket and red low heeled mules to dress up the casual look just a bit.  I wore this to work at our office and feel it was an acceptable outfit for the environment I work in.
