Oversized Layering

I found this oversized dark gray layering jacket and also a lighter gray one similar (but a different brand) and am loving them.  This one has a one button closure, but can be worn open as well.  This outfit was worn at the end of October.  I'll have another post up in the next few weeks of an additional way I've worn it recently (hint:  pairing it with gold)

Casual Blue Striped Zip Jacket

 It's hard to believe this jacket retailed for $79.  I would have never paid that...but for under $7 it makes a nice jacket for a casual day.  
It would have would have looked better if I'd have pushed the sleeves up on both the top and jacket. :)
I have on earrings w/ blue in them (which you can't see).  I kept it super simple and didn't even add a necklace.

A Fall Scarf In Olive And Cinnamon Print

 I thought this was a perfect scarf for the fall season and it matched my earrings and jacket so well.

I'm wearing just a basic dark gray tee with tan pants.  Wearing a simple base and then adding interest with the scarf, earrings, bracelet, and jacket is my favorite way of dressing.

Shortly after I thrifted these loafers in 2012 the side seam busted open.  These shoes were so soft and I loved them so much I decided to have them repaired.  It only cost me $6 and so for a total cost of about $11 for the price of the shoes and the repair I feel it was well worth it because I wear them often.

New Animal Print Loafers and Faux Leather Jacket

These leopard loafers are backless.  I love this style that you just slide your foot right into.  They have a cognac trim that matches my new jacket too.

The jacket is a brand I had not heard of.  It is by Bernardo Fashions.  On their webpage here's what they had to say about their pieces:

A Colorful Jacket With Dark Denim

I love this jacket, but probably only wear it a couple of times a year.  That's what happens when you thrift and have toooo many clothes.

My shopping goal for 2015 was to spend about half as much as I did in 2014.  I did not quite hit that mark.  I went a little over that, but I was fairly close so I'm satisfied with my effort.  In 2016 I'm going to aim for even more improvement.  I'll set my budget for half of what I spent in 2015.  It's going to be tough because I've had some weight loss and want to shop now more than ever. haha  But I must remember that I ultimately want to have fewer clothes and wear what I already have more often.  

Finally, a photo that shows my jeans are really a dark blue denim.  Well, sort of a dressy denim material.

A Jacket In Colors Of The Sea

This slightly semi sheer topper just had to come home with me.  I love this style and the beautiful colors.  It makes me feel like I'm swimming in a warm ocean in an island paradise.  It's hard to imagine paying only $2.09 for a garment that I enjoy so much.

I paired the new jacket with a dark brown tee and jeans that I've had for a while.  The new shoes are dark brown and beaded.

OOTD: Starring... Great Shoes

I wore a version of this outfit here, but I'm now wearing jeans instead of khaki pants and I've switched up the accessories as well as the shoes.

 The shoes!  Can we talk about the shoes?!  I am in love with them.  They are my favorite backless style and so comfortable.  To me, they are soooo pretty and in a favorite color of teal/marine blue/aqua.  They are adorned with darling sequins, gems, and pearls.  They were only $5.60 and look brand new.

Wearing this outfit made me feel nearly as wonderful as Ally at Shybiker feels in her maxi skirt.  :)
