Hot Pink Pants Two Ways

I bought these pants back in July, but they were too small for me at that time. I was hoping I'd lose enough weight to fit into them before our summer was gone.  I just barely made it  :)  .... and wore them a couple of weeks ago when our weather was a bit warmer.   

I wore the same pants again a week later with a gray cardigan.

 I mentioned in my last post here about putting together outfits that combined one of my many button down tops and scarves.  Here is another example of a new/casual, outfit created from shopping my closet and finding pieces that compliment one another.

Thrifting Coordinating Pieces In One Shopping Trip

As it so often happens, I was browsing around Value Village, randomly adding things to my cart that I liked, and once I got home realized that many of the items I had purchased actually work really well together and provide pieces to create multiple outfits.  This top, scarf, and bracelet were all purchased in that shopping trip.

And....as I'm apt to do...(wisely, or not) I loaded on all the colorful pieces together.  I did ground them by wearing a dark navy trouser and shoe.

I bought the cutest pair of bright pink bottoms ($4.89 Caslon) that will go really well with this top also.  They are a bit snug and I'm not sure I'll be able to squeeze into them before summer is over, but I'm hoping to.  If not, I'll save them for next year.

Flowers For The Feet

I've had these sandals for a few years, but don't wear them often.  I have the same style in a peachy melon color too.  I find them fun to wear on occasion so I hang onto them.

Chambray and Floral

Worn for a casual lunch out and a drive with sweet hubby.  He also stopped so that I could run in an out of town Goodwill I never go to....  where I scored my 2nd pair of suede-like ankle boots, an oversized gray cardigan and a couple of fabulous jewelry pieces.  Will be showing you all of these later. :)

Olive Rides Again

And herrrrrrre's Olive!  Once again.  :)

This time she's along for the ride with a new striped tank top.  The colors in the tank are khaki, cream, gray, and a dark blue gray.

When I bought this cardigan, for a mere $1.29, I had no idea the endless outfit possibilities she would bring to my wardrobe!  It's actually fun to wear a favorite piece over and over rather than having it sit unused in my closet.  I want to work towards that objective with more and more of my pieces.  Then, over time, I will discover and be able to eliminate non essentials and pare down my wardrobe so that it's more streamlined and functional....while still providing an enjoyable dressing experience.

A Favorite Cardigan

This is such a light weight cardigan and it's one of my favorites.  I think this is the first time I've worn it with this navy tee and it's my preferred combination.  I could just wear this identical outfit on repeat.  It's fun to create new combinations, but there's nothing wrong with sticking to something that works and is your favorite too.

This is an outfit I could wear anywhere for my lifestyle... shopping, out to lunch, even to work - which I did. :)
