New Plaid Loafers

This outfit was a mixture of metallic gold with black.  Loving these shoes.  They're cute and comfy.  They are Cliff's by White Mountain.  I have never heard of this brand or know where they're sold.  Have you?
I thrifted them, of course, and I think they're brand new. 

 I've been a bit sick again and so I apologize for not replying to comments or visiting as much as usual.  This darn cold hit me a couple of weeks ago, then I was all better for a week, and then it came back...bringing it's cough buddy with it.  All I've had the energy for is getting through my days at work.  I'm hoping to perk up soon though. :)

New Plaid Scarf With Gravity

A brightly colored fringed plaid scarf with an equally bright green tee and cardigan makes me feel pretty bright too.  I wore this to see Gravity in 3D the other day.  We usually just get all our movies free from the library, but we were gifted a movie theater gift certificate for Christmas so it was a nice treat.  Of course, hot dogs and popcorn were consumed while watching our space drama.

A button down, cardigan, jeans and loafers is always a favorite casual outfit choice for me.
I am so glad it's stylish to roll up pant legs.  It sure does help solve the problem of pants being too long for short legged gals. :)  It also allows you to wear them with flats or heels and makes longer length pants much more versatile.

 Add gold jewelry and a bright red lip to spruce up the look.

 A dark navy cardigan and cognac loafers add a bit of prep.

Accessorizing The Basics

Dark Emerald With Plaid Scarf

I'm going to call the shade of this blazer a dark emerald, but it could also pass as evergreen.  I was tempted to re-donated the blazer over the past few of months, but I'm glad I decided against it.  I have since created a few outfits with it that I hadn't thought of before (and I like) that I'll wear over the cooler months.  I like it as part of my outfit today...worn with a light oatmeal color and plaid scarf.

Step Right Up And Win A Prize!

I called this my "used car salesman" jacket because that's what it reminded me of.  My boss, however, said I reminded him of a carnival worker or game show host.   I see his point. haha
But when I saw it in the store I couldn't help myself.  I liked the colors and didn't really see the comical aspect of it until I got home.  I may only wear it another time or two and then get rid of it.  We'll see. ;)

I have on a navy cardigan with sleeves rolled up over blazer sleeves, but in photo below I left it unbuttoned to show more of the peachy top.
I will probably also pair this jacket with a red top and red flats...maybe my yellow turtleneck too.

I actually ended up wearing it with the navy cardigan buttoned AND the jacket buttoned.  Maybe I should just wear it as an open jacket rather than buttoned up blazer?  If you indulge me in my wearing of it...do you like the crazy plaid jacket better unbuttoned or buttoned?

 I'm wearing my navy skinny jeans again.
