Stretchy Thanksgiving Pants

Just a casual, at home, Thanksgiving for the two of us.  Tomorrow we'll be going out and meeting up with family.  

I found these black jeggings recently and they were soooo comfortable (w/my, once again, weight gain, ugh), that I went back and found another pair of darker black jeggings and also a pair of pull up pants (no zipper, just stretchy waistband, and slightly looser jegging type fit) in black, but with a bit dressier fabric (both thrifted of course).
They are like maternity pants!  That's what I thought they were when I tried the first pair in the dressing room, but they fit so well I was going to buy them anyway.  Then I saw on the inside of the waistband they were labeled "jeggings".  It made me feel a lot better to at least know I wasn't needing maternity wear. haha
They will be perfect for the Thanksgiving meal.

Healthy Eats and Casual Style...Keeping It Simple

More and more these days I'm finding myself just wanting to keep things simple. These Trader Joe products are quick, easy, delicious, and help me do just that.
Hubby and I split the package of enchiladas and have 1 enchilda each for lunch about once a week.  They are loaded with sauce and yummy filling.  We top with a little bit of light sour cream.
I'm hooked on the guacamole for sure!  
We have a little of it on something just about every day.
Turkey meatballs are another of our favorites.  We have these once or twice a week.  One way is just as spaghetti and meatballs.  A second way is cut the meatballs into tiny bits and place the pieces on a split apart toasted english muffin that has a little pizza sauce spread on top.  Then top the meatballs with a little low fat mozzarella, garlic powder, and basil, then heat in microwave till cheese melts.  Mmmmmmm.....
Next is riced cauliflower.  We probably only have this about once a month, but it's good as a rice substitute for a stir fry using lots of veggies and either a little bit of chicken or shrimp.

Simplicity is also finding it's way into my outfits.  Slip on a pair of comfy leopard loafers with a pair of boyfriend jeans, tee, and cardigan... and I'm happy. :)

New Cardigan With Leopard Loafers

I'm wearing a new cardigan and really liked it.  Sometimes I don't like things as well as I thought I would once I put it on and see it photographed, but I was pleased with this piece.  I was initially attracted to the golden mustardy/tan color of it (and the price-only $3.59) and knew it would be a great neutral and go with a ton of things in my closet to make lots of outfits.  In our fairly mild climate, it will get extended wear throughout the majority of the year due to it's sleeve length and open knit style. 

I liked how the cardigan turned out paired with the gray sweater.  I added my super comfy leopard slippers and a scarf to turn this into an outfit favorite.
