Mustard Striped Tee With Teal and Beige

This goes into my "outfit favorites" category.  The jeans are fairly new and I like their fit.  I have at least a couple of pairs of this brand of pants/jeans and they seem to work well with my curvy figure.  They hug in the right places and are not too baggy in the legs.  The long sleeved tee is really soft and a thinner fabric.  I also like this combination of colors that came together with the scarf.  I generally don't like this minty teal color for my nails, but I decided to go with it to match the outfit.

I was so happy with how my hair turned out and was thinking I was having a good hair day...but I guess no one else thought so. haha  When I asked...hubby says he prefers it "other ways" and no one at the office made any comment about it.  What do you think?  Do you like it straightened better?
I will probably wear it both ways, but I do still like it this way...even if I'm the only one. :P

Navy With Yelow

Today I drove about an hour to visit my daughter.  We went to Whole Foods to pick up a few things then back to her house to have lunch.  We're both on the Whole 30 program and being good by not eating out like we usually do.
She spiraled some zucchini on her spiraler thingy and made some homemade tomato sauce.  It was really good.  I am totally impressed with the vegetable spiraler and feel like I may need one.

Weekday Casual Outfit: Experimenting With The Boyfriend + What's For Dinner

Just for fun I decided to try the boyfriend jeans look with a pair of jeans that had gotten too big for me. (inspiration here)  I rolled them up, added a belt and my new peep toe booties.  I'm also wearing a new cardigan with some great colors and it's in that slinky fabric I like.  I also tried this outfit with a pair of heels.  Both looks were okay, but the jeans have gone into the donation pile since trying this out for a day.  Not sure if these booties are really my style either, but I'll work a bit more with them.  I'll try the cardigan out in other ensembles because I do like it.

Not one of my favorite outfits, but I did give the scarf as a belt idea a try.  I like the colors okay, just not fond of the scarf... or length of pants....but I just keep wearing them, don't I? ha

Inspired To Dress For Fall + Food and Weight Journal

I was very happy with how today's outfit turned out.  I have had trouble styling this striped waterfall cardigan and therefore have only worn it a couple of times.  But I got great inspiration from a blogger I just discovered!  She is Deborah from Stylish Murmurs and I love her style.  The inspiration post for my outfit today was here.  I'm excited to see more of her upcoming outfits.  I like how she layered the scarf over the long cardigan and necklace....so I tried that in my outfit too.
These black pants are new and this was the first time I'd worn them.  The pants are of a bit a thicker material and have a few snaps at the side of the ankle and they were too long for me, but I somehow managed to get them hemmed and now they fit perfectly!  So happy about that.  I also added a color for shoe and purse to match similar color in scarf.  I also mixed stripes with stripes...or, no wait...I guess that's large checks with stripes.  I was really on a roll today! ha  Anyway...here it is...ta-daaaa!

I love how the colors in the scarf tie in with the rest of pieces in this outfit and the accessories.  This was another of my "feel good" looks for myself.  I'm happy with the length of the pants (another pair that I've slimmed down to fit after some weight loss) and my new sandals are super comfy.  I thrifted these a couple of days ago along with 2 other pair that are identical.  These are what I call a butterscotch color.  I also got a pair in white and one in a nude tone.  They were each $5.99 and looked like new so I couldn't pass them up.  I knew these would be a good go to shoe for work, or any occasion, and that I could walk in them comfortably all day.  I really wish I would have been lucky enough to find them in black as well.
The drape and partial tuck of the scarf into the belt was accidental, but I ended up quite pleased with how it turned out.  Since it has been recommended by some other bloggers that I tuck in my shirts (or maybe belt them)...or I guess just not leave them hanging out loose, haha...I was playing around with adding a belt.  I really thought it accentuated the width of my hips too much, but then was also working with how to wear the scarf and ended up with this look.  I liked it.  I felt much more comfortable in wearing the belt by adding a bit of length in the front and partial covering with the scarf.  I could have tucked it all the way into the belt, but I liked this look best for today.

I'm linking up with Patti at Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday.  Come and join us.  It's a great link up with some fabulous ladies.
