Oversized Layering

I found this oversized dark gray layering jacket and also a lighter gray one similar (but a different brand) and am loving them.  This one has a one button closure, but can be worn open as well.  This outfit was worn at the end of October.  I'll have another post up in the next few weeks of an additional way I've worn it recently (hint:  pairing it with gold)

A Vibrant Colored Scarf

I'm letting the scarf make the statement once again in this basic all black outfit of long sleeved tee and jeans.

This simple style is my absolute favorite and when I'm in an outfit like this I feel my best.

Geometric Print Top With Oversized Cardigan

I had thrifted this top way back in April, but it had been in my closet with the tags still on.  I really like it paired with the cardigan.  Covering part of it up tones it down and makes the print not so overpowering.  I may still wear it on it's own someday too.

The shoes are Cole Haan and a great buy at only $4.  They have a small heel, are backless, and very comfortable.   I bought these in November 2012.
The necklace was a great find as well.  I love necklaces with circles (and links/loops).

Brick Red Sweater

My new sweater is soooo soft.  I wore this to work.  This is my version of comfortable, yet work appropriate.

Buffalo Plaid

I really, really love this waterfall cardigan below found here at Bloomindale's, although I'll never pay that much and buy it.  I love this style of cardigan anyway, but I'm crazy about it with this pattern. 
I recently purchased my first buffalo plaid print garment.  I hadn't even known that's what it's called.  I'll just be happy with my shorter, 3 button cardigan for now.  Next time I'll wear it with blue jeans, but I had work this day.

It's really soft and I like the 3/4 length sleeves.  I'll be able to wear it with a short sleeved tee or tank also.  Maybe I could even roll the sleeves up a bit more in the spring and still wear it as an additional layer.   I'll have to try that out to see if it looks okay.

A perfect time of year to wear this color combination.

 These types of sweaters (and similar) are favorites of mine because I can pretty much wear them about 8 months out of the year here and they are great for layering over  or under.  I"m collecting these in a variety of colors.

OMG, I was having so much trouble with my photos appearing way too overexposed or something.  They would look totally different once I uploaded them to my blog than what they do in my folder on my computer.  I couldn't figure out why uploading them to blogger was automatically "changing" them....because I upload them directly from a photo on my computer.  I just googled my problem and found out I had to go into my Google + account and change the "Auto Enhance" setting from "normal" to "off".  That solved my problem!  I had no idea Google was changing the quality of my photos automatically!

Workday Outfit: Sweater Style

This is a new sweater and I love this style.  These sweaters are basic, soft, and can be dressed up or down.  I have a cobalt blue one, an emerald one, and a gray one (blue and gray I've not yet worn) and this week I also thrifted 3 others... one in bright red, one in taupe, and one in tan.  The taupe, tan, and the gray have more of a turtleneck.  These will all be definite fall/winter and even spring staples for me.

 A first time wear for the pants too.

 Another reason for bright lipstick...to tie in with the scarf and earrings and add a pop of color to the black.
