These simple long sleeved tees have become my favorite thing to wear. No matter what the brand, solid or striped, as long as they're soft and comfy I'm happy. I can throw on one of my million scarves with them, ha...a necklace, layer a jacket or cardigan over them...and I've got my favorite casual style.

Faux Fur Collar and Cuffs + Leopard
I thrifted this leopard jacket 4 months ago, but am just getting around to wearing it. I do love it and wish I'd worn it more, but I will probably not wear it again until the fall winter season. Spring has sprung, but it's still pretty cold here so I am still getting wear out of my warm sweaters.
I paired this pretty jacket with gold necklace and a more casual tee, jeans and mules.
Linking up with Patti for Visible Monday at Not Dead Yet Style.

Weekday Casual Outfit: Monochromatic In Blue Grays + Food and Weight Journal
I'm pretty much all one shade today...and some days I like that. I am crazy about this nice quality, soft, Chico's t-shirt that I picked up for only $1! Also love the feel of this ever so thin cardigan. Another element I like in this outfit are the flats. They're gray on the sides and then a metalic silver gray on top. I kept the accessories minimal and included silver earrings that my mother gifted me with many years ago.
This outfit was worn to pick up cosmetics at the drug store and then to a quick doctor appt.
I specifically needed new foundation and the one I wear was buy one get one 50% off...so I did. I wear Neutrogena Healthy Skin liquid make up medium beige 80 w/ spf 20. This is pretty lightweight and dewy. My skin is really dry so I can't wear anything heavy or cakey.
Under my foundation I wear Nivea Creme skin moisturizer. My skin just soaks this up and loves it. Some people find it too greasy or it causes them to break out. But my skin loves it. My husband actually discovered it a couple of years ago when he was looking for something for his dry skin and bought 10 1 oz containers of it online. He tried it, but didn't like it and I took it all. It's the best facial moisturizer I've ever used for my dry skin. I also now use Nivea Essentially Enriched Daily Lotion for very dry, rough skin on the rest of my body. Again...love it! These are 2 of my "couldn't live without it" products. Another of those is my Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes. Very moisturizing and easily takes off my mascara and other makeup.
Do you have any "can't live without" beauty products?

It's In My Closet (outfit inspiration) + Guess what I found?
This outfit was inspired by a Penny Pincher Fashion post here. When I saw it I realized I had a gray graphic long sleeved t-shirt in my closet that I'd not yet worn...and pair of pants I have only worn once that I could use to replicate this outfit. I liked the idea of mixing a very casual top with a slightly dressier bottom. So here is the recreation I came up with for myself.
I wore this to the grocery store and on errands so I also brought along a black blazer for warmth while shopping.
I just love this t-shirt. I have a very hard time resisting these at only a couple of dollars or so.
I chose earrings that have the same teal green color as the flecks in the top.
Remember those sandals I thrifted the other day in 3 different colors...the Naturalizers I wore and talked about here? I had mentioned that I wished they had them in black as well. I was so lucky to find them in 3 colors at one time though and I was very happy with that.
Well....I stopped at Goodwill on my way to work on Friday and found them in black!! I was thrilled! I couldn't believe they had them in the exact style and the color I wanted and for only $6.99. Whoo hoo! (I have a similar style shoe also in red, navy, gold, and a burberry pattern. Yes, it's a favorite.)
They're not anything fancy or exceptionally pretty, but they are perfect for a lot of my outfits. Comfort is a major factor for working all day and these pass that test beautifully.

Workday Outfit: This Skirt Again
I've worn this skirt a few times over the summer, but styled a little differently each time. I chose a soft, robin's egg blue t-shirt to match the lighter color in the skirt and added a shimmery scarf and nude sandals.
And notice I have "tucked in" the top completely, but am able to hide a tiny bit behind the dangling scarf. :)
Looking at the photos now...I'm thinking maybe I could add a belt with this skirt to develop another look for it. I'll have to see if I might have a belt that would be appropriate and switch up some of the other elements as well. I had soooo many belts that I never wore and re-donated them back to the thrift store. Now I wish I'd saved them so I'd have more options.
I also now wish I had hiked the scarf up closer to the neckline of my top and just eliminated the necklace. Hindsight....

Goodbye Skirt...+ Food and Weight Journal
Happy long weekend everyone! I wore this skirt on Friday and the other outfit for a short outing and trip to the grocery store on Saturday. We grilled out steaks for dinner and watched a movie. Hope you enjoy the holiday!
I'm donating the skirt back to the thrift store. I've had it for a few years and have rarely worn it.

Weekend Outfit: Bleached Look Jeans...+ Food and Weight Journal
I wore this on Saturday. This is the first time for me to wear the jeans, t-shirt, and the blazer. I have never bought any pants like this in my life so it was kind of fun wearing them. They are jeans, but of a somewhat thinner fabric. I love the t-shirt. You can't see by the photo, but it has rows of tiny little scalloped ruffles all the way down the whole thing. And it has a faint pattern of large roses. Part of the bottom edge is just slightly frayed. I'm not sure if it was made that way or is damaged, but I think it's cool and gives it a more rock n roll vibe. Since I was going for a sort of over the top look I decided to layer on the jewelry a bit.

Weekend Outfit: Saturday Style
It was neutrals and leopard with jeans for our Saturday trip for groceries. I ended up not wearing these shoes. You can't tell by these photos, but they have a pretty high heel. Although I like them, my feet hurt before we even left the house and I realized this was an impracticle purchase on my part. I've only worn them one time, but out they go. This is a lesson to show more wisdom and be more in tune with my lifestyle and comfort in future decisions regarding my clothing choices.
I am so enjoying our weather and the sunshine. Beautiful sunny days make me happy.

Another Way to Wear My Floral Pants
I've worn these fun and comfy floral pants a few times before, but this time I changed out the color of t-shirt and the necklace. I am trying to wear these pants as much as possible for two reasons...one is they're getting too baggy (which I disguised with the leg cross) and I may or may not attempt to alter them, and the second reason is that we only have a few more weeks of warmish weather left.
I thought the necklace worked pretty well as it picked up just about every color in the pants.
