OOTD For The Office: A Dressy Jacket With Casual Stripes

In today's black and white outfit, which I wore to work, I've dressed up a pair of casual jeans and striped tee with a pretty kimono style jacket.

I am a big fan of wearing a longer layer over a top (or just a longer top) to camouflage the hips a bit.

Love these suede-like pointy toed flats with studs and buckles.

Strawberry Ice and Glacier Gray - Pantone Spring 2015 Colors

I'm loving the Pantone Spring 2015 color choices.  In this post I wore a softer shade of the tangerine and also toasted almond.
Here, I'm wearing my new scarf which is similar to the Strawberry Ice Pantone color.  It was a great match to an older sweater I had in the same color. The cardigan is Glacier Gray.  I was very happy with this combination.  Thank you, Pantone, for the inspiration! :)

Another Way to Wear a Fur Vest

This time I've paired my faux fur vest with gray stripes.
I swear every time I wear this furry thing I feel like Sonny and Cher and in my head I'm singing "They say our love can't pay the rent..."  I actually look a bit like Sonny (with his bowl cut) in this photo. lol

OODT: Sand and Gray

I went totally gray and sand (or tan) for this outfit.  I layered two scarves again.  The underneath fringed scarf is a bluish gray.  The print scarf has both the blue gray and sand colors.  The necklace is a blue-gray-silver as well.  Even the faux snakeskin print flats are gray and tan.

I really like the look of scarves hanging like loose, but it's not an effortless look to maintain.  All day long I was straightening and adjusting because my scarves would go flapping as I scurried around our office and up and down the long hallway to the restroom.   It is much easier just to loop them around the neck a time or two.  They stay in place much better.  But on occasion I commit to fiddling and arranging so that I can wear them like this.  This style also allows for adding a necklace.

OOTD: Gray, Silver, Tan, Melon

This is just one of those outfits that makes me feel good even though it may not look like anything particularly special.  I adore this necklace, like the color combination in the outfit, and the whole thing was very comfortable.  I did end up changing shoes before I left because I could tell these would not get me through a day of work.  Instead I opted for a soft leather nude loafer.  Ahhhh, much better (but I didn't get a  photograph).  This is an outfit favorite.
Someday......  I hope to have my closet paired down to only my very, very favorites...what I feel happiest in and most comfortable wearing.

I wore earrings (but you can't see them here) in little dangly heart shapes that had the same colors as these two bracelets...melon and seafoam.

Rose Gold and Gifted

I had this outfit pre-planned for Wednesday so that I could wear my new dusty rose and taupe scarf.  On Tuesday I met my daughter for her birthday lunch and a bit of shopping.  She gifted me with an early Christmas present of this beautiful rose gold sparkly bracelet and pretty earrings.  They just so happened to go with this oufit perfectly.  Thank you, Shelley!  I love them. :)
While we were shopping I thrifted this taupe and black purse that I'm carrying here also.
