OOTD: Starring... Great Shoes

I wore a version of this outfit here, but I'm now wearing jeans instead of khaki pants and I've switched up the accessories as well as the shoes.

 The shoes!  Can we talk about the shoes?!  I am in love with them.  They are my favorite backless style and so comfortable.  To me, they are soooo pretty and in a favorite color of teal/marine blue/aqua.  They are adorned with darling sequins, gems, and pearls.  They were only $5.60 and look brand new.

Wearing this outfit made me feel nearly as wonderful as Ally at Shybiker feels in her maxi skirt.  :)

Sequined Shoes

I thrifted these pretty sequined shoes in Oct. 2014, but this is the first time I've worn them.  Crazy about them!  Can't wait to wear them with my new skinny dark denim jeans too.  About 5 more pounds off in order to get those jeans buttoned without killing myself. ha
I remember back in high school (1978 ish) laying on the bed and nearly breaking my fingers trying to get jeans zipped up that were so tight it's a wonder I could breath.  I think a friend of mine said she would use pliers to pull her zipper up. lol

Cute Coral Ballet Slippers

I didn't discover these little flexible style ballet slippers until a couple of months or so ago.  LOVE them!  They are soooo comfy.  This is my third pair.  Couldn't pass up this cute orangy red color.

Work OOTD: Black and Gold

Even though I've had the black/gold print top and shoes for a while (top March 2014 and shoes Dec. 2013), this was my first time to wear them.  That's kind of sad waiting almost a year to wear such pretty shoes. :(
I ended up really liking the fit of this top.  I had been on the fence about if I even wanted to keep it, but once I put it on I realized this was a piece that would be sticking around.  It felt very comfortable and was long and loose enough to cover the hip area without clinging, but not overly large.  Juuuuust right.
And the shoes!  Loved them.  Again...my favorite style...other than flip flops/sandals. :)

Gray Canvas Slip On Shoes

I bought these shoes on ebay because I had thrifted a black pair in the Soda brand and they were soooooo comfortable.  These gray ones were comfy, but not nearly as soft and flexible as the other brand.  I will keep my eye out for similar styles when thrifting though.  I also have a pair with navy stripes.  These are great for a super casual look when I don't feel the least little bit like getting dressed up. :)

New Outfit: A Neutral Base

This is a first time wear for the sweater, pants, shoes and scarf.  I love the colors in the scarf and I know I'll be able to create numerous outfits using it.  I am wearing very monochromatic core pieces and have added color with the scarf, bracelet, lips and nails.

 I am always soooo thrilled to find a pair of pretty shoes that are easy on my feet all day.  These low heels with ankle strap passed the "day at work" test beautifully.

Wardrobe Newbies: Sweater, Shoes, Necklace, Purse

I love a soft cowl neck sweater and this is a nice neutral, creamy butter color.  The shoes are in my favorite mule style and a caramel color.  The necklace was actually found in the belt section, but once I got it home I realized I could also wear it as a statement necklace, which is what I've chosen to do here.  It's a pretty heavy piece and I like the medallions with the rhinestone centers.
