Leopard and a Chunky Gold Chain

One of my favorite thrift finds is this Michael Kors silk leopard print blouse. It's just perfect for beginning the transition into fall. 
The chunky gold chain necklace is another of my favorite pieces.  It is substantial and makes a bit of a luxurious statement when paired with the silk blouse.

Matching Leopard Prints

The Michael Kors 100% silk blouse is nice, but it's the shoes that stole my heart.  My favorite style shoe...and so pretty.

I found both of these leopard pieces at random in one shopping trip to Value Village.  I saw the blouse first, put it in the cart, but was unsure whether or not to get it.  When I walked over to look at the shoes I found these beauties.  What a lovely match!  After seeing these together I knew I was definitely buying both pieces. 

The backless low heel is dark brown with a leopard belt and gold buckle.

Snakeskin Prints

First off, hello to Suie, my newest follower.  I clicked on your photo, but was not taken to a blog or email so that I could say hello.  Any new followers...it would be wonderful if you'd leave a comment to let me know if you have a blog so I could follow back or so that I could just reply to you here to let you know I'm happy to meet you.
Thank you to all of my followers and visitors.  I have never been much of a fashionista in my lifetime so everything for me is trial and error/hit and miss.  Thanks for sticking around during the good and bad fashion days. :)

If I'm venturing out of the house I like being casual in a comfy (yet not sloppy) way.  Here are two OOTD attempts at a casual chic look.

I ended up tying the scarf.  I didn't like the undone look with this particular scarf after seeing the photos.

New snakeskin print flats to go with the snakeskin print scarf.  I loved these shoes so much, but after several hours of wear they began to rub my feet.  I will try to cushion the heel and wear a little half footie sock next wear and see if that helps.

I actually wore my gray flip flops with gemstones with the outfit below, but tried to elevate the look with a pretty scarf added to this navy sweater and added red lipstick.

New Snakeskin Print Blouse

I just loved this gray and cream snakeskin print blouse when I found it.  I have hardly ever worn thin dressy blouses before, but in the last couple of months I've bought 4 of them.  Other than this one, I also got 2 animal prints ones and a minty green with white polka dot one.
I wore my cream silk jacket over it on my way to work on this slightly cool morning.

Red and White Stripes

I love a nautical look with stripes in red or navy.  I also love wearing white pants.  It was still a quite cold and so on this day I wore the tan jacket as part of the outfit.

Workday Outfit: Toucans Eating Berries

This is my new floral top that has the toucans on it (which you can't see here).  It is a wrap style...snaps underneath on one side and has 3 outside button on the other.  It is quite snug (didn't try it on in store) and I didn't want to show that much caboose so I opted to wear the jacket over it.

 The pants and booties are a dark brown, but they look super dark in these photos.  The close up (at bottom photo) more accurately depicts their actual color.

 The top has some sort of olive colors in it (hard to see here) so I wore an olived beaded bracelet with the gold bangles and carried my olive handbag.  The necklace is newly thrifted and nearly perfectly matches the earrings that I've had for years and years.
