Red Blazer With Jeans + Heirloom Onyx Ring

I liked the blazer paired with these jeans pretty good.  It has shoulder pads that need removed, but I just haven't gotten around to doing that yet.  Will try to take care of that before the next wearing of it though.
This is a first time wear for the cowl necked sweater.  This is a great basis black sweater.  It's very soft and I like the fit.

This is not a great picture of my ring, but I wanted to share it.  My mother had this ever since I can remember, but I haven't seen it in decades.  I remember it from when I was younger and have always liked it.  It is black onyx with a tiny little diamond in it.  My mom gave it to me this past Christmas.  It's actually an heirloom and belonged to my great grandmother.  I didn't even know that.  It means a lot to me to have it.  It reminds me of my lovely mother who I now live thousands of miles away from.

  1. This is such a lovely outfit Lisa. Love the red blazer, suits you so well. Same goes for the turtleneck. Amazing ring. That's so nice of your mother to give it to you.

  3. First of all, that food looks amazing and it's making me hungry. Second, that ring is absolutely beautiful. And lastly, I loved your cuffed jeans. I'm all about cuffed jeans.

  4. I love your outfit and your ring. How special! I wear a ring that had been my mother's when she was a teen. The diamond in my wedding ring is the middle stone of my great grandmother's wedding ring.

  5. Glad you mentioned taking out those shoulder pads as I love the blazer! How special to have your mother's ring. I have a diamond that has been passed down and I am the fourth generation to have it... So glad I only have one daughter and won't have to worry about choosing who to give it to.
