Today's Outfit - New Thrifted Nine West Purse
I had been on the lookout for the past weeks, if not months, for a brown purse. I really did not like the one that I had, even though I purchased it not that long ago. The construction of it was so stiff that it was difficult to get anything in or out of it. I was waiting until just the right thing caught my eye. This (above) was it! I love it. I paid a little more than I usually do for thrifted purses, but it was so worth it. Now I get to re-donate my other one for a discount off my next shopping purchase. Yay!
Thrifted Items: Brown Nine West Purse $13, skirt, top, shoes, necklaces.
Earrings = Dress Barn for about $5.70.

Dinner - Grilled Steak, Steamed Asparagus, Hollandaise Sauce
The asparagus w/hollandaise sauce was inspired by http://www.diethobby.com/. So simple, tasty, and very few calories.
I took Dr. Collins' tip and stored the leftover sauce in separate snack size baggies in the freezer, so I can just take one out next time I need it for any veggies I might want to put it on. Excellent idea!

Dessert - Low Cal Strawberry Crepes
These were very good for a low cal dessert. Hubby had his with ice cream. I got the basics for this recipe at http://www.diethobby.com/. She has many recipes that look wonderful and easy and I will be trying them out soon.
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 packages Equal
2 Tablespoon sugar free strawberry preserves
4 T whipped, canned, pressurized, Fat-Free Reddi Whip
Combine egg whites, flour, cinnamon and 2 pkgs Equal.
Whip together well...just until frothy.
Pour 1/2 mixture into small heated skillet to make a crepe.
Let it set on one side and then flip. Watch it carefully so it doesn't burn.
Once cooked, remove from heat and lay it flat in a plate.
Cook other crepe.
Place strawberry mixture into each crepe and roll it up. Top each crepe with remaining strawberries.
Sprinkle one-half the walnuts over the top of each crepe.

Dinner - Teriyaki Chicken Pasta
This was the first time I made this and it was simple and good.
Cook pasta per directions. Saute chicken in small amount of olive oil. Steam veggies. Season with garlic salt/powder, salt, pepper. Toss together with a several tablespoons sweet teriyaki sauce. Next time I will mix the teriyaki with a 1/4 teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the sauce slightly.
