Navy With Yelow

Today I drove about an hour to visit my daughter.  We went to Whole Foods to pick up a few things then back to her house to have lunch.  We're both on the Whole 30 program and being good by not eating out like we usually do.
She spiraled some zucchini on her spiraler thingy and made some homemade tomato sauce.  It was really good.  I am totally impressed with the vegetable spiraler and feel like I may need one.

Dinner on Day 7:  Cashew Shrimp and Veggie Stir Fry w/Banana and Pineapple
I've found coconut aminos to be a nice substitute for soy sauce.  I added a little Fish Sauce into this meal also.  I'd never tried it before either.   John and I both enjoyed this meal.  I thought we'd miss the rice or noodles, but it was very good on it's own.

Hello Again Navy Skinnies! + Whole 30 Day 5

This outfit was worn on Saturday.  I realized the scarf was very wrinkled, but we were just running to the grocery store and a couple of errands and it would be underneath a buttoned up coat with not much actual scarf showing so I didn't take the time to break out the ironing board and iron it.
I am so happy that I am now fitting back into my navy skinny jeans. Yay!
I have had this sweater for probably at least 12 years, but hardly ever wear it.  I do like it's oversized casual feel though and will be keeping it.

Navy Skinny Jeans $3.50 Lauren Conrad (Value Village)
Tan Pashmina Scarf $4.99 (Goodwill)

Day 5 on our Whole 30 I broke down and weighed.  You're technically not supposed to weigh yourself until after the 30 days is over.  I am an every morning weigher and so I was just too curious to know if I'd lost any weight.  So on Day 5 (as I write this) I weighed myself.  I am very happy I broke this rule because the 5 and 3/4 lb weight loss I've acheived thus far is giving me added incentive to complete this program and to incorporate many of the healthier eating habits I'm learning into my daily life afterwards.

Here's what we had for dinner on Day 5:  fried tilapia w/almond meal coating and homemade tarter sauce, steamed broccoli w/ghee, parsnip/carrot mash w/ghee, and bananas/pineapples.

This was a really good meal!  We enjoyed it and will put this on our repeat list.
(please excuse the lovely mismatched dinnerware - ha)

New Purse + Whole 30 Day 3

I found this purse on sale at Ross Dress For Less and really liked it.  It reminded me of one my daughter has that I've always thought was nice.  I debated on whether or not to get it...because I already have a large black purse.  My other one is little older and more worn looking and I knew I'd regret not buying this one if I didn't.

Thrifted Items:
Pants $4.35 AB Studios (Value Village)
Black 3/4 length tee $5 Talbots (Value Village)
Red/Black Jacket $7 Coldwater Creek (Value Village)

Whole 30 Day 3
Dinner was taco salad.  We are finding that it's not nearly as enjoyable eating our meals with no pasta, no cheese, no sugar (it's it way many more products than I imagined once I started examining labels)....  but we're hanging in there.
I am loving the pineapple, avocados (guacamole), sweet potatoes, and the breakfast sausage though.
