Navy and Red + A Huge Sigh Of Relief

Hubby had his surgery and was released from the hospital the following day...which is absolutely amazing to me.  He had a carotid endarterectomy (w/ 95% artery blockage) a little over a week ago.
I didn't want to talk in depth about it, but will say that I am more thankful than I could ever express that he's home with me and doing so well.
I would also impress upon anyone who cares to listen that your health is sooooo important.  Sometimes we don't realize it until we're older and have to deal with life threatening health issues. But the younger you start taking care of yourself....eating healthy and exercising...the better.  Sometimes health problems can be partly inherited, but it's never a bad idea to eat properly.
It is really eye opening to tabulate every bite of food you eat in a day.  Not just the calories (as I have done for years), but the sodium, saturated fat, sugar, and cholesterol.  I recently began doing this and quickly realized our sodium intake was about double what it should be.  I thought we had been eating healthy and was quite flabbergasted!
Anyway, hubby is recovering nicely and I'm relieved beyond belief.
Thank you to those who reached out to me.  I wasn't really going to say anything else about it, but I appreciated your support and wanted to let you know things went well and we're okay.

Now for some thrifty outfit details. :)

boyfit jeans $5.59 American Eagle
navy sweater $3.99 Basic Editions

navy earrings $.99 cents
