I am loving my fall colored outfit today, even though I forgot to add my watch and bracelets for the photos (and my necklace is crooked). This is a first time wear for this plaid button down shirt and the gold flats. I can imagine these being go to items over the next few months. For myself, a look that is comfortable and classic with a casual feel is a look I like best.
These pants were more bell bottom style, but I was able to alter them slightly to a more tapered look from knee to ankle and now I like them much better. I did the same to a pair of turquoise pants. They could stand to be a little narrower and possibly shorter, but I thought I'd better quit while I was ahead. It's nearly a miracle, with my sewing skills, that I didn't ruin them. So I'm happy with them for now and I know I'll wear them both much more this way.
I'm linking up with Patti at Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday.

Great fall colors, Lisa! I think you did a fine job with your alterations, and I agree that slimmer pants are a more modern look. You have a wonderful smile! Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteOh,oh,oh! I'm having a golden shoe/slipper fascination lately. I was immediately drawn to yours!

ReplyDeletePretty outfit! Tell me about that jacket! Is that denim? Love the length & detailing (pockets). - Love that purse too! Loving me some gold flats!
ReplyDeleteHi, Betty. :)
DeleteThe jacket is around 6-9 years old. I forget. It's not denim. It's 100% cotton and I think it's from Walmart. Totally inexpensive. I'm guessing it may have been $11 or something. But I do like the sort of safari vibe from it with the tannish color and pockets. I saw another blogger wearing one as I was perusing blogs a couple of nights ago and decided to pull this out and put together an outfit. It's an item that I normally don't reach for, but I like it paired with a button down for fall. I'm glad I discovered this look and incorporated it into my style.
I'm such a late fashion bloomer. haha
Nice fall outfit! You're on trend with plaids and burgundy and gold!!
