T-Shirts, Tank Tops, and Flip Flops! Hooray!

It's warm enough for short sleeves.  Yippeeee!!
I wore this tank/t-shirt combo here a couple of weeks ago, but today I've made it even more casual by changing the pants to capris, sandals to flip flops and switched out the accessories.
The capris and flip flops will forever be remembered as a purchase I made in San Diego on a five day trip when I had my first meeting with my husband after an internet courtship.  We went on a walk by the seaside and I foolishly wore big clunky boots and pants.  My feet were killing me and I was so hot I couldn't stand it.  I darted into a little shop in this seaside village and made the quickest shopping purchases of my life.  I ran into the dressing room tried on these pants and they miraculously fit, then found these flip flops that perfectly matched them.  I think I paid over $80 for the two items, but walked out about 5 min. later cool and comfy, so at the time that's all I cared about. haha
(Forgive me if I've told this story before....and forgive me if I tell it again.  The older I get the more forgetful I am.)  It's a happy memory because I met the love of my life, but I cannot believe I paid that much money for flip flops and capris when I've since learned about the joys of thrifting.
Thrifted Items:  Yellow top, floral tank top $1.79 Frenchi, bracelets, cross necklace $4.99.

  1. Glad you're finally getting some warmer weather! It has cooled a bit here, but not too much. Short sleeves still required. I love that floral tank top!

  2. What a sweet story. It would have been worth the bucks to be comfortable. Cute outfit BTW!

  3. It's great when clothes remind us of experiences, especially one as significant as this. I bought a jacket in San Diego which will always remind me of my trip there.

  4. This is the first time I've heard this story--and I think I would hang on to these pants and these flip-flops forever.
