I thought I read that the proper way to wear skinny jeans with ankle boots was to roll up the pant leg and maybe leave a little leg showing. Well, I do like that look, but on this day...with this outfit...it was not working for me. For one reason every time I sat or got in and out of the car my jeans hiked up even higher and I was needing to pull them down. About halfway through my day I gave in, unrolled the jeans and tucked them into the boot. I felt a lot more relaxed after that. :)
This is the lighter of the 3 new pair of jeans I had previously mentioned. They're still dark denim, but this pair is more of a skinny fit jean at the ankle, whereas the other 2 pair are more of a cigarette style. The cigarette style is my favorite. These feel more casual and are good for just running errands, etc. This day I was hanging out with my daughter having lunch and thrifting.

Ankle Boots $19.99 Liz & Co.
The rolled jeans with boots is a look I wear often and I like it .. but if you're in a cold climate, exposed skin probably isn't all that comfortable :-P Love your beautiful scarf .. the blue and red is quite pretty.

I have a hard time with this too. The length of everything, include the boot height, has to be just so which makes it a more fussy look to do. If the pants are too tight on the calf then they don't cancel themselves out when I stand up and I end up walking away beating my feet to knock them down or fixing them with my hands. I love ankle boots but right now don't have any I can wear to work due to all the walking I have to do. Always a dilemma! I love this look on you but comfort is the most important thing. I also love the plaid scarf.
ReplyDeleteI am loving that scarf and your purse! I am ODC when it comes to pants riding up on my leg when I tried this look on myself. Not a pretty picture of me freaking out and pulling the legs back down and into place...I gave up on it for my own sanity. ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha...I know what you mean, Debbie. :)
DeleteGreat look for having lunch with your daughter and thrift shopping Lisa , best wishes x
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't have a clue as to how to wear pants and boots. Nor can I tie a scarf as fashionable as you do here. You're my fashion mentor.
ReplyDeleteŚwietny, młodzieżowy look Lisa, torebka super...pozdrawiam..
