Workday Outfit: This Skirt Again

I've worn this skirt a few times over the summer, but styled a little differently each time.  I chose a soft, robin's egg blue t-shirt to match the lighter color in the skirt and added a shimmery scarf and nude sandals.
And notice I have "tucked in" the top completely, but am able to hide a tiny bit behind the dangling scarf. :)
Looking at the photos now...I'm thinking maybe I could add a belt with this skirt to develop another look for it.  I'll have to see if I might have a belt that would be appropriate and switch up some of the other elements as well.  I had soooo many belts that I never wore and re-donated them back to the thrift store.  Now I wish I'd saved them so I'd have more options.
I also now wish I had hiked the scarf up closer to the neckline of my top and just eliminated the necklace.  Hindsight....

  1. Good Morning Lisa. I love thse skirt on you. It' so beautiful. Bummer about the belts :-( This is a such a lovely outfit. The tee color is another YOU color. It compliments your eyes. You look very very beautiful. Just an idea. Instead of a belt you could use the scarf. The color is perfect and it's long enough, tho.

    Have a lovely day

    1. Thank you, Sabine. It had been stored away for many years. I'm glad the style still works.

  3. Hey Lisa! I love this skirt ... and I love the tuck! Good for you that you are trying things outside your comfort zone. You're looking fabulous! Lenya's idea of the scarf wrapped at the waist is an excellent idea.

    1. Hi, Norma. Yes, and it's funny because I had just put together a future outfit using a scarf at the waist around a top w/ pants (which I never do, but I thought it looked good - we'll see how it works when I actually put it on), but it didn't even occur to me to do that with this skirt.

  4. Hey today you wear the skirt Indian style! To wear the scarf like this intensifies this impression. You look fabulous in it. Slim as you are you do not need a belt.

  5. LOVE this skirt! But I think it would look even more fantastic if you hemmed it to mid-calf! Then you could wear it with boots and a blue sweater for Fall!

    1. That is a great idea! I had planned on a blue blazer, but hadn't even thought of boots. I have brown ones that will work. Thank you. :)
