My Best Friend

When I flew back home recently to visit my family I also got to see my best friend.  We have been best friends for about 22 years now.  I moved away about 6 years ago, so we now live thousands of miles apart.  It was so good to see her again.  We have the kind of friendship where it just feels like we saw each other yesterday.  We totally get each other and feel comfortable with one another and can tell each other anything.  Do you have a friend like that?
I actually am quite the loner.  Other than my husband and daughter I don't really hang out with anyone...which suits me and hubby just fine.  We waited a long, long time to find each other and love spending every minute together.  We're best friends too. :)
Deb and I clicked right away those many years ago and became fast friends.  We've been through the ups and downs of life together.  She's always been there for me. 
When I saw her a few weeks ago she gave me two beautiful scarves  and this (for my birthday):
I thought that was so sweet and I have it where I see it every day and think of her.   I love and miss you, Deb.
 I absolutely love my scarf!  Thank you.

    Pretty scarf, pretty shoes. I'm like you -- I have only a few close friends and that's fine. It's the quality, not quantity, that counts.

    I love your scarf! My mother once told me that I should be able to count my true friends on one hand. I love that right now we also have a great "couple friend" where all four of us really like each other! That is just as precious as a best friend in my book! My best friend may move away soon, but no worries, there is Skype these days...
