New $3 Coat

As I was walking to the check out at the thrift store this coat caught my eye.  I had not planned to stop and look at coats since our coat closet is crammed full of my thrifted coats at the moment and I really had not wanted to squish my poor husband's coats into less than the already miniscule space I've left him.  But.....this navy (yes, it's definitely a very blue navy even though it looks black in the photos) and red coat was sooooo cute and a mere $3!  I couldn't pass it up.
That's the downside of thrifting.  The bargains are just so tremendous it's difficult to say no to things you like, but really don't need (like the 9 pair of shoes I recently bought for $4 each).

I'm linking up with Visible Monday at Not Dead Yet Style.

  1. That is a very good-looking coat you found, for less than a cup of coffee! You put it all together so well, too, including the red shoes. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday.

  3. Hey Lisa, Thanks for stopping by my blog and the kind comment. I love thrifting because I can make fashion experiments without much risk. If the outfit doesn't work for me, I can recycle it to the thrift store and help raise money for our community. That is a sharp little coat and looks great with the reds.

  17. I love this! I especially like the cute way you tied the scarf, I'm going to have to try to figure that one out. Most of my scarves are too long, I'll have to find a smaller, silkier version. Thanks for the inspiration!
