  9. I just discovered your blog and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! You are the first "style" blogger that wears clothes I can totally get behind. Your pictures are an inspiration and, of course, thrifting is the way to go if you want a lot of clothes! Thanks and I'm looking forward to following you...

    1. I tried to send you an email, but just it in case it doesn't go through I'll leave my message here as well...
Thank you so much for your comment, Cyndi. You have made my day!
You see, yesterday I received my first somewhat critical comment on my blog. I figured I'd eventually get one and thought I'd be crushed when it came. Oddly enough, this particulary one anyway, didn't really bother me that much. But it did make me question my style choices and I wondered if her comment was correct, but that I just had a different view of things. Well, thrifting is something I enjoy and I don't know if bought new at retail prices if I'd be making any different style choices than I do now. I'm always learning, but all in all I'm pretty happy with my wardrobe.
I'm so glad you stopped by and will look forward to hearing from you again. Do you have a blog that I might follow too?

    2. I do have a blog, but it's a travel site. If you're interested it's at lookingouttherearwindow.blogspot.com. I try to document when we travel, mostly for friends and family to keep up with us. I look forward to your post each day!

  10. Well, I'm kind of sorry for the harsh words I left you, but I'm in the process of finding my style statment. And I'm very critical about my choices too, specially that I make at thrift stores. To my eyes they just look dated, end of story! I end up never really enjoying any of these clothes to the fullness, and I just donate them back in the flash, sometimes the next day, lol. But you do look happy in yours! I know this doesn't make any sence, my apologies again.

    1. Oh....that's quite all right. :) It was very sweet of you to stop by again. Did my email go through to you I sent last night (I believe it was)?
I am 51 years old, so I'm not a spring chicken...nor wanting to dress like one necessarily.
I hope you can find some wardrobe pieces that you are happy with and that make you feel good. Not all of my outfits do this for me, but blogging helps me sometimes realize certain things I'm not so fond of and I'll re-donate those items. Some I'll keep trying only to realize later I might as well give those up because they're not working...or I don't like them as much as some of my other things. But it's a kind of fun process for me.
I'm never going to have a style that's magazine current I suppose. I'm just having fun experimenting and enjoying my life.
I hope you'll find inspiration on some of the other many great blogs that are out there even if you don't particularly click with mine.
Thank you for this comment. I hope you have a lovely week ahead.
