Finger Painting

Yes, I'm wearing another darn sweater because at 10am it's 56 degrees.  I don't envy the rest of the country experiencing the heat wave....but come oooooonnnn.  I'm freezing in July here. haha
Well, on a happier note...I've been inspired to paint my fingernails, which is a definite rarity.  Ally's nails (at Shybiker) looked so pretty so I thought I'd fancy up my own for a change.  I'm horrible at painting my fingernails (I do my toes much better-not sure why that is)...it looks pretty sloppy up close, but not so bad from a distance in these photos.  So we'll just pretend they're lovely. ha
Well, I guess I'll get out my jacket and brave the frigid temperatures so that I can run a couple of errands.
Have a terrific Tuesday! :)

Thrifted Items:  Jeans $3 Lee, floral tank top $1.79 Frenchi, yellow cardigan $3.59, scarf, bracelet, wedge sandals $5.60 Ilani Italia.

  1. I would totally take 56 degrees right now! Not kidding!

Love this look even if it is chilly for you right now!

    1. Thanks, Beth. I shouldn't complain. It just gets frustrating to realize we're only going to get 2-3 weeks of real summer.....and I have SUMMER clothes I want to wear. haha Oh well. I'm a happy girl regardless. :)

    1. I feel you, Anne. Isn't it frustrating when you can't brake out those nice summery outfits?

  3. I love that little summer cardigan you're wearing. I'm on the hunt for something like that.
Have you ever been to the Goodwill sorting center on 6th Ave in the SODO? I went not knowing it was a sorting centered and was kind of grossed out by digging in the bins. But I did score a few items.

    1. I have not been there. I see the two sisters on thefashioncitizen's youtube channel do that a lot. I love to watch their thrift hauls. I think they live in Arizona. I'm not sure if I would like that or not. Don't you pay by the pound or something? Sounds like you could get good deals if you actually found some stuff. I don't like driving out of my comfort zone area...so I don't think I'll ever make it over there unless I have hubby drive me someday. I'm trying to cut back though anyway.

  4. Cute cute outfit! Love your hair and your mani is perfect! I have been to the Goodwill outlet around here and even tho I love to dig in the thrift stores I found I didn't have the patience for it. People do find goodies and I may have to try it again. Not to belabor the temperature discrepancy, it is 95 at 7 pm here. You remember Midwest summers!

    1. I sure do remember the summers! It's so weird because most houses out here don't even have air conditioning. I thought that was so strange. lol

    1. I think I could just about wear my hair up every day. It's so easy and I kinda like it too. :) I'm almost never happy with my hair down...unless maybe if I have a scarf in it or headband.

  6. This combination of neutrals with the perfect pale yellow of the cardigan is very flattering, and looks terrific with your hair and complexion. The nails are lookin' good, too!

    1. Thank you. :)
I've had this cardigan for a little while, but not worn it because I didn't feel like it fit right and I was going to re-donate it. But if I just throw it on and try not to fuss with it too much and just let it hang open I guess it does all right. I like the color and it's fairly lightweight.
