Nothing much going on today. Just a stay at home day. It is only in the 50's and I am freeeeeezing. Wacky weather. I'm going to be squeezing my summer clothes into about a month's worth of warm days it looks like.
Well, as I was reading Pam's blog at Over 50 Feeling 40 I was inspired as she is blogging about her "lifestyle adjustments". She's being a great motivator by sharing her own journey. So yesterday I cleared off all my clothes from my treadmill. It's function for the last year or so has been clothes hanger and catch all. Now I just have to get on it and walk. Do any of you have a treadmill and do you use it for it's intended purpose?

A very nice outfit, with a beautiful scarf. I love to continue playing with your hair. It's nice to make changes.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger my hair was super curly and so in the 70's I just let it go natural and it was in style. Nowadays it's just frizzy and requires flat ironing. It tends to be a bit unruly.
DeleteIt's warmer here today, but it was kind of chilly last week! I love your scarf!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a treadmill, but I do have an elliptical. Right now it's holding clothes since it's nice enough to walk outside though!
Isn't it wonderful to have muli-purpose equipment? ha
DeleteI have a settee that collects my clothes, but I try to clear it off weekly. We don't have a treadmill, but I do climb a lot of stairs as we live on the second floor of our home.
ReplyDeleteOoh, a settee. I like that word. Sounds like it would go in a "parlor". :)
DeleteYou look like you're in excellent shape anyway. And you have that wonderful tandem bicycle!
Very pretty colors and I especially like the scarf. I have a couple in that color way and need a jacket or cardigan like yours. All that exercise talk is motivational!
ReplyDeleteWell, I haven't made it to the treadmill as of yet, but I'm doing my second day of light weights for my arm strength. So at least that's a tiny start.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun outfit- I love the combo of red and pink! I had a rowing machine like that- just sat in the corner collecting dust with scarves flung onto it! Good for you on the arm weights- that's a great start!
ReplyDeleteYes, it would make a great catcher of scarves. lol And that reminds me...I'd better do those weights right now because I have procrastinated.
DeleteCongrats on your treadmill thoughts...it's a first step, and I just see from reading the comments above that you're doing weights. Yay! Again, you have on the most flattering colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melanie. You're colors in most recent post (I think) were wonderful!
DeleteI love what you've been doing with your hair lately! Really cute!
ReplyDeleteI use to own a treadmill until it started squeaking loudly and nothing I tried made it less annoying so I got rid of it. Now I force myself to walk everywhere, even in the rain.
Really? You're dedicated. I noticed when I moved out here that people just get right out in it. I have hair issues so am always afraid my hair will frizz or I'll ruin my shoes, etc. I need to toughen up. haha
DeleteHello Lisa! I see you've put my +40 blogroll widget up, so a big hug and thank you! You're on the list now, and on my Google reader. We share a love of thrifting as well- looking forward to your future finds! -Bella Q the Citizen Rosebud
