I meant to wear this on Sunday for my Kentucky Derby day post, but totally forgot. So, here it is showing up late. I received this oh so lovely hat as a gift from my wonderful husband a couple of years ago.
Thrifted Items: Dress, cardigan, necklace, yellow skinny belt shoes.
I'm linking up with
Lisa! That hat is FABULOUS!!! Seriously, I am in love with it! It's totally what I think of when I think derby and the yellow color is so lovely! Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love it, but have nowhere to wear it really. So I had to at least blog it.
DeleteOh My Gosh, that is sooo cute! You remind me of a scene in the movie Pretty Woman. I'm sure you've seen it, probably more then once...like me. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look great in yellow and that belt ties it all together! You need to wear it for Mother's Day.
By the way, what lipstick are you wearing?
Yes, I watched that movie too many times to count. haha I think you're talking about the polo scene when she has that gorgeous brown polka dotted dress on. I loved that outfit.
DeleteMy lipstick...haha It's the super cheap Wet n Wild brand that I even got for 75% off so it was about 50 cents or a dollar... I forget. The only thing it says as far as a name is 911D.
Gorgeous hat Lisa and a nice sunny yellow colour too:)

Thank you, Anne. I like this bright yellow too.
DeleteLOVE the hat!
ReplyDeleteHello... and thanks so much. :)
Deleteoh.my.word! you rock a hat like nobody's business. do you mind if I pin your outfit on Pinterest? I used to wear hats to church years ago but never looked this good.
ReplyDeleteHi, Donna. I'd be very flattered to make my first appearance on Pinterest. I never really have an opportunity to wear fancy hats, but I do think it's pretty and needed showing off a bit. :)
DeleteLisa, you are now pinned! I think I did it properly.
DeleteThe portrait shots are ALL just SO BEAUTIFUL. Hats are something I haven't experimented with nearly enough.
ReplyDeleteYes, I very rarely wear hats. I have a few sort of 40's/50's era looking ones, but they're kind of small on my head and I really don't dress in that style so I don't have anything appropriate looking to wear them with.
DeleteWow, Lisa, just wow! You almost never see hats anymore, so yours was like a ray of lovely sunshine in my RSS feed reader :)
ReplyDeleteUh-oh, Lisa, you are breaking the fab-o-meter here! Beautiful hat, perfect for the derby or a nip out to the corner store. Gorgeous! What a husband to pick out such a knock-out piece.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hat!!
