Farm Girl Without The Farm

Do you ever feel kind of awkward when you try a new trend for the first time?  I feel a little like that today as I attempt the ever so popular partial shirt tuck.  But I'm giving it a go.  For some reason I feel like I should be holding a pitchfork for this photo. :)

Thrifted Items:  Jeans, turtleneck, gingham button down $2.50, tassled necklace $2.40, low wedge red buckle shoes $10.50 Franco Sarto.

  2. Cute title for a cute outfit! Your blouse is the same color as the gingham blouse I wore today over a floral print tee. I guess I'm old-fashioned enough that I would feel very awkward wearing the partial tuck. Cute on some gals tho.

    1. So...did you wear the blouse totally tucked in or left out? I do not like to tuck my outer shirts into my pants therefore showing off my big rear end. haha I'm much more comfortable with a shirt left totally untucked, but sometimes feel like I may appear sloppy. But, oh well. I think I'd rather appear a bit more sloppy than a bit more fat. :)

    2. You crack me up...lots of truth to the sloppy vs a bit more fat theory...personally I feel very uncomfortable with anything tucked in or belted because of my post-menopausal/pre-diabetic shape. I will tuck a shirt in if I have another layer to "blur the edges".

  3. Yeah for the partial shirt tuck! I keep experimenting with it, but it is too firmly ingrained that shirts should be neatly tucked. In spite of taking many photos of such a look, I've never once used one on my blog. Yours is a success I think.

  4. Lisa, great title! Okay, maybe if you try chewing some gum when you don't tuck in your shirt you will feel more relaxed. I'm not sure why... I love the untucked look and these are great pieces. It's hard work to look chic-ly sloppy!
