Brings Back Memories...

Big hair, big hoops, and Elvis belt 70's style.  When I saw this belt in the thrift store I immediately thought of Elvis.  And having a soft spot in my heart for The King I bought it...even though I had no idea what I was going to wear it with.  I've had it for about a year and I think this is the first time it's been worn.

I got to see Elvis live in concert when I was 15 years old.  That was about a year before he passed away.  I'll never forget the unbelievable electricity that was in that arena when he entered it and the whole time he was up on that stage.  I can still feel it running through me every time I remember that night.
Did any of you get to see him...and did the experience leave an impression?

Thrifted Items:  Jeans $2 Sonoma Lifestyle, lavender tank top, purple top w/ gold chain $3.50, belt $2.99, purse $2.99 Via Demizon, leather deep purple heels $3.59 Cathy Jean Brazil.

  5. Two bucks for your jeans?! Wow. You're right - there's a definite Elvis vibe there - looks great! I always loved Elvis movies. I watched Clam Bake a month ago when I had a cold. Excellent. "Hey gang, let's go for a clam bake!"

  6. you always have the best buys...look at all the amazing prices. The belt is a nice statement piece. Elvis is the music legend, but his life is such a sad story though.
