Floral Scarf From Paris and New Sandals

My daughter and her husband took a trip to Paris (among other places) earlier this month and she brought me back this beautiful scarf.  She knows I love these colors and this pattern.  I also love the fact that it is really large and can be worn many ways.  Here I have it folded in half and wrapped around.  I've got a couple more outfits already planned for it.

This is a first time wear for these sandals and I was thrilled to have found them.  They are sooooooo comfortable.  I know the Birkenstocks and other similar shoes are really in right now.  I don't think these are a particularly attractive shoe, but I liked them and somehow felt a littler "cooler" wearing them.  :) 
I'm a huge fan of the relaxed dressing style.  (I've been gathering a few pics of outfits I like here on my fairly new Tumblr site if you'd like to check them out.)
This past week I watched a movie with Annette Bening called The Face of Love.  I loved her laid back LA chic style in this movie.  Reading some articles online, the director says that her wardrobe for the movie was taken from Annette's own closet....since this was an independent film and they were on a tight budget.  I want to learn to dress myself more often in this style.

Maxi Skirt

Had to pull out this maxi skirt for a loose comfy fit during a weight gain period for me.  Ohhhh, why does dieting have to be so hard?  I try to look at it as adopting better eating habits rather than "dieting" but it's still always a struggle for me and my willpower. ;)

 I felt like I had a good hair day (and I delight in those rare occasions) so 2 close ups today. :)

The skirt, top, sandals, bracelets, and purse were all thrifted, but the only thing I have a price for is the purse:  $13 Nine West.

Returning From our Coastal Getaway

Hi there, blogger friends!  Thanks so much for wishing John and I a happy anniversary.  We enjoyed our little getaway.

New Shoes and Cardigan

This is the first time wearing the cardigan even though I thrifted it nearly 4 months ago.  Crazy about the pastel colors in it.  The shoes were purchased last week and I absolutely love them.  They're a dark chocolate brown color and are one of the most comfortable pair I own.
